Book Review - A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg

I recently read "A Homemade Life" by Molly Wizenberg.  It's a charming book that has been described as part memoir, part cookbook.  This description fits perfectly.

I appreciate her writing style as it's very casual and personal.  I was able to connect with the emotions as she writes with such description about the people and food experiences in her life.  The book centers around her father, apparently quite a character, who passed away from cancer.  A quick glance at the recipes she's included will make you want to cook....or at least want to eat, because if you decided to cook you'd have to put the book down, so best to grab a snack and keep on reading.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone looking for a well written collection of experiences and the food that goes along with them.  This book is full of passion for food and love for family.

Have any of you read this book yet?  What are your thoughts?

I read it last month and thought that the book was a fun read! I also loved that it was part memoir, part recipes. I have to admit that I think I actually enjoyed the stories even a bit more than the recipes because they were so personal and endearing and I also could so relate how food was the glue that held Molly's family together.
