A Random Act of Kindness

My husband was the recipient of a Random Act of Kindness today.
We had gone to a furniture store to purchase new bar stools.
We paid for them and pulled around to the loading dock.
A woman walked up to my husband, who was standing outside the Jeep waiting for the stools to be brought out, and asked him "are you the Veteran?"
He said "yes, I am".
She handed him this prayer cloth and said "I just want to thank you for all you've done for me and for our country."
The man was speechless.
He did manage to say "thank you, thank you very much".
She smiled and walked away.
He came up to my window to share the moment with me.
He was clearly touched.
The Jeep has Veteran license plates, so she must have seen them.
A great reminder that such small things really do mean a lot.
To the nice stranger I say thank you so much for taking the time to acknowledge my husband's service and thank you for reminding me that it's important to remember to take the time to perform Random Acts of Kindness.

That is really wonderful I love random acts of kindness. It show that there is still good people in the world. We need to hear about the good things that people do because all we hear on the news is the bad.

How wonderful. Little did she know how much her acknowledgement and gift would touch not only your veteran, but his wife and her friends across the country too... :) God bless her.

Thanks to you all! Yes, it really is the little things. So hard to remember through the course of the day isn't it? It was a great reminder.
