Yes, the weekend is long past, however, 2 things happened:
1. We went to the beach!!  So, our weekend lasted thru Wednesday
2.  I have been completely unable to logon to blogger since Tuesday
All is well now.
If you are suffering from the same blogger pain - can't get the sign-on to come up, when I deleted all web browsing, cookies, etc. it finally came up.

We took the boys to Rhode Island to stay at our favorite B&B, Tower House B&B.
I'm telling you, they are the BEST!  If you're ever going to Rhode Island, I encourage you to look them up {towerhousebandb.com}.
The car ride, however, was not a big hit.
Ollie didn't get sick this time, but Emerson, about 2 hours into the drive got extremely nervous and aggitated and shook most of the remaining 2 hours.
Hopefully this is just a phase.

Rhode Island is beautiful and relaxing.
The boys absolutely adore the beach, although they could do without the water {photos are below}.
They run and roll and play in the sand.  They can't get enough.

I even brought my laptop, thinking I would post the Quotable Tuesday and this weekend post from the beach.
Didn't happen.
Couldn't log in.

Cait was so thrilled to see us come in the door when we were home.
She stuck to me like glue.
Even rubbed up against the boys in an affectionate way.
They were shocked.  Just looked at me like "what in the world??????"
Guess she's figured out if they're here then her parents are here and that makes her a happy girl.

The rest of my week will be filled with weeding flower beds and finishing the planting of my garden.
How about you?

I was thinking about you last night and wondering where you had disappeared too. Glad to know it was the beach! :)

Sue you are so right. We've learned to not come home the day before we return to work. Too stressful. So now we've still got more time to get things done around the house. Thanks so much Meg and Texwis Girl! Happy Holiday weekend!

I love getting away, especially for the beach--It really has a way of recharging your inner batteries, doesn't it?

PS: There are all kinds of problems with blogger, from commenting to signing on to not being able to see your followers, so you've got great company!! Enjoy your weekend!!
