Recipe For The Dogs - Banana Yaps

These are a soft banana cookie that Oliver and Emerson are absolutely smitten with.  We use them for "extra special" treats at the times they are really good boys.  According to the recipe, this will make them stop the yips and the yaps.

I've included the tags if you'd like to download them.

Makes 36 Cookies

1 1/2 cups all-purpose or half all-purpose, half whole wheat, flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup honey
1 large egg
1 3/4 cup quick rolled oats
2 or 3 ripe bananas, mashed

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare a cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper.

In a large bowl mix all ingredients together with a wooden spoon.  Drop the dough by tablespoonful {or smaller/larger if you desire, depending on the size of your dog} onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake 12 - 15 minutes, until they're light golden.

Cool to room temperature before serving.

**Store in a sealed container at room temperature up to 1 week or, for longer storage, in the freezer for up to 2 months.**
