Jackson LOVED his costume.  Can you tell?

Happy Sunday!!  The temp's have dropped here again, so it's chilly and feeling like Fall.  I'm actually surprised by how much color we still see in the trees.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I would like to submit an article and photos for a popular magazine.  Would I like????  Heck yea!!  It's all been submitted, now all I can do is cross my fingers and hope.  Regardless of what comes of it, I felt so honored at the possibility.

Friday was a crazy day because we prepped all of our "goods" for a Saturday craft fair.  We prepped until well into the morning, trying to get all the products made and ready.  At one point I was making the Peppermint Twist Whipped Sugar Scrub.  My husband said "what is that smell????"  When I told him he replied that it smelled so good he really wanted to eat it.  We've heard that from our customers as well.  I also saw him sneak a couple of bars of the Barbershop soap off to the side....  I'm sure they'll miraculously show up in the shower soon.

Saturday was a great day.  Although the craft fair wasn't as busy as we had hoped, we had a very successful day and met a lot of great people.  We also had a few people interested in purchasing our products to carry in their stores.  Hooray!  It's always interesting to see what will be the "hit" - it's always different.  At Saturday's show the popular items were Light Ale Beer Soap {sold out of all we brought}, Spa Soap, Rosemary Mint Soap and Barbershop Soap; Lavender Lotion, Beach Breeze Lotion and Vanilla Bean Lotion; Peppermint Twist Sugar Scrub and Peppermint Cocoa Lip Balm.  With all the sales, it's time to make more soap and lotion!

Right after the craft fair I zipped up North to a friend's beautiful wedding.  Seeing the love shared between the two of them and their families was the perfect end to the day.  I finally got home around 8 and was mobbed by the "kids".  Oliver and Emerson were glued to my side, Cait was circling me and Jackson did his victory laps around the room.  It's good to be missed.

Today is a relaxing day.  The pellet stove is warming the house and hot Peppermint Mocha is brewing in the kitchen.  Oliver and Emerson are still glued to my side, although Jack and Cait have given me a bit more room.  The Coop Girls are quite chatty today as they finish up Fall garden clean-up.  There are still feathers everywhere from their molt, but most are growing them back rapidly.  Poor Sam is still working on getting all her tail feathers back.  We made soup for lunch, and homemade bread and Spaghetti Pie for dinner.  I may or may not have had one or two samples of the chocolate chip cookie dough I put in the refrigerator to bake tonight......

Hoping you all had a wonderful weekend!!

I forgot about lavender. I never could grow it in full shade, but I should add that to my wish list for my garden next year.

And congrats on the possibilities of the magazine and your stuff being in a store. :) Good things coming your way...

Funny, I was just thinking of you this morning, as I was leafing through a copy of Somerset Life. Do you read the Stampington mags? Your style would be perfect for any number of them. Artful Blogging would be a good choice, too. Congratulations!!
