Real Life

i never thought i'd say this, but snow has become a bit of a comfort for me.  it's so beautiful and makes for such a quiet, peaceful day.

of course, i could have used a bit less snow.....

a day perfect for reflection.

words for this week:  gratitude, resourcefulness, believe, actualize, and embrace.

do you have any words for your week?

making:  lotion, cookie dough ice cream, slow-cooker bbq short ribs with creamy orzo.

happy wednesday friends.

It looks like a delightful, productive day at your house for a day of reflection. I should be so reflective. :-)

Stunning photos, Staci! I can see the serenity in every one. I just noticed the gingham curtains in the windows of Jay's shed. Lovely!
You really add a touch of home to everything you do.

Enjoy every snowflake...

Your real life is my current dream life (farming) :) At the end of this year when I purchase the house/land to start a farm, I hope I see these beautiful views during Winter as well. Thank you for sharing these calm, quiet moments with your readers!

PS - Your dog's face looking out at the winter snow through the window is too cute!

I really wish I were more like you and liked the snow, but I'm just so over it! We got some snow on Sunday, but then on Monday got a lot of ice. I couldn't drive into town so didn't work Tues or Weds and went stir crazy being stuck inside! I'm trying to be thankful for the fact that we didn't lose power and were able to stay warm. Trying to look at the positive side of things! ;)

I do love your photos though! I like looking at snow, just wish I wasn't living in it haha.

As I'm catching up on your blog, I always feel relaxed. You have such beautiful pictures and I'm hungry reading about what you are cooking! The lavender lip scrub sounds great too!
