hello September!

hello....month of changing leaves, of crisp apples and homemade apple pie, of football games, of pumpkin spice lattes, of night-time chats by the fire, of my husband consuming more ghost "peeps" than one should ever consume, of dried cornstalks and pumpkins, of gooey grilled cheese sandwiches paired with homemade slow-roasted tomato soup.  welcome!

Yes please,to the gooey grilled cheese and tomato soup, one of my all-time favorites. Recently, I've had a lobster grilled cheese, and grilled cheese with pesto and granny smith apples. Both were fantastic. I love fall, though I think any crisp weather is a way off. After a very pleasant summer, we are now having a stinkin' hot and humid week. It'll be a while before we need a fire. Ghost peeps? Ew.

Well I was feeling bad thinking that summer had passed to quickly. But you make fall sound so inviting! Now I am kind of looking forward to it.
