Moisturizing Vanilla Latte Sugar Scrub

Sugar scrubs are wonderful gifts for yourself or to give away to someone special.  They are easy to make and leave your skin feeling so moisturized and soft.

I prefer to use used dried coffee grounds so it's not quite so abrasive.  If you don't drink coffee {huh?}, no problem, just soak a few Tablespoons in enough water to cover overnight in the refrigerator.  In the morning, pour off the water and allow them to dry for a day before using.

If you want more coffee scent in your scrub, substitute some of the sugar for more coffee grounds, Tablespoon for Tablespoon.

Vanilla Latte Sugar Scrub
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 Vanilla Bean
3 Tablespoons used coffee grounds {see note above}
2 1/2 Tablespoons oil - sweet almond, grapeseed or olive oil
2 Tablespoons melted coconut oil

Pour the sugar into a bowl.  Scrape the vanilla bean into the sugar and mix it well.  Stir in the coffee grounds.  Stir in the oil, mixing well so that all the sugar is mixed with oil.  If you feel it's too dry, let it sit about 20 minutes, re-stir and then decide whether or not to add more oil, 1/4 teaspoon at a time.

To use:  In the shower, after washing, take 1/4 cup of the sugar scrub and rub it all over your body, in a circular motion.  Rinse.  Towel dry lightly - allowing the oils to naturally moisturize your skin.  Or, leave next to the sink and use on your hands, particularly if they are dry, in the evening before bed.  Rinse and pat dry with a towel.

This looks and sounds fantastic! I have never made this, but my daughters did one time at a party and they really liked it. I need to try.

My worm farms usually get all of the coffee grounds but I'm going to save some back just for this.
