Tropical Lime & Coconut Sugar Scrub

This scrub smells amazing - bright and revitalizing.  Sugar scrubs are super easy to make and leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and well moisturized.  Since we are still in the depths of Winter, I crave citrus.  Any reminder, really, of warm, tropical weather.  Between my desire for warm temps and my obsession with sugar scrubs, this one is made frequently in our home.

It's also the perfect gift giving item.  With Easter and Mother's Day just around the corner, this is a simple, pampering gift that the recipient will love.  The instructions for using it are included that can easily be added to a gift tag.

Tropical Lime & Coconut Sugar Scrub
makes 1 1/2 cups

1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Zest of 1 lime
8 Tablespoons Oil {Grapeseed, Olive, Avocado, Canola, or Sweet Almond}
3 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
10 drops Lime Essential Oil
10 drops Coconut Fragrance Oil, optional

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave at 20 second intervals, until completely melted.

In a medium-size bowl, mix all ingredients together with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.  Transfer to a canning jar or other container for storage.

To use:  At the end of your shower, apply sugar scrub to your body, gently rubbing in a circular motion.  Rinse.  Towel dry.  *caution - may make the shower floor slippery.*
