Weekend

It's been a bit since I've written a weekend post, or any post at all.  March was a crazy-busy month in my work life.  A lot of travel, even longer work days than the typical 11 hour day, and weekends full of work too.  So, basically, March was a month of work.

And now the Spring sun is out, and work gets a bit more balanced, and there's time {albeit not much} for fun things.

We have a dozen day old chicks getting delivered this week.  They are a new batch of layer hens.  Coop Girl Lori passed away a couple of weeks ago so we are now down to 13 ladies in the coop.  They will not be one bit happy about the newbies when they finally get added to the coop the end of May, but they'll get over it and forgive us {eventually} for the upset.  Especially if we give them some of their favorite goodies to smooth things over.  Yogurt, warm oatmeal with blueberries, and a handful of freeze-dried meal worms ALWAYS win them over.

With spring weather comes thoughts of summer and that means looking at my closet to see what's needed.  I am not a shopper {at all}so amazon and LL Bean.com are my friends.  Do a quick search, throw it in the cart, checkout, and receive your box a few days later.  This is my way to shop.  Four pair of sandals and a few tanks, tees and shorts found their way to my home in this manner.  No sooner had I put the sandals in my closet then Jack decided I hadn't put them where he wanted them.  So he rearranged them.  He's helpful like that.

It's just about time for us to move outside for the Farmer's Market.  We are lucky enough to be a part of a year-round market but we just love when we get to move outside.  It's supposed to be 70 degrees this coming Sunday so fingers crossed it'll be as warm the beginning of May.

Speaking of the business, I finally did our taxes.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute...... Do you remember the crazy ridiculous goal I set January of 2015 for 2015 sales?  Well I made it.  I just picked a number and threw it out there and then worked super hard to somehow meet it.   Goals are amazing things aren't they?

Hoping you had a lovely weekend!

I have to say, those are the most exquisite eggs! Glad the warmer weather has found its way to you. I'm sure you'll enjoy being outside at market.

I hope things continue to balance themselves out. All work and no play...
Congrats on meeting your goal!
So good to see you check in again. Enjoy your week!
