It's December. I can hardly believe it. What's even more astonishing is that my house is decorated, I have my cards {still need to write the newsletter}and presents are all purchased, however, I'm still waiting for their arrival. I'm typically just thinking about decorations at this time.
Emerson is sick. We aren't sure, guessing a cold. He's had congestion similar to this in the past so we're hoping for the best. I think he misses his doctor. I've promised him a visit to see his favorite doctor if we could just go as a "stoppin' by" visit. He doesn't have to get sick just to see her.
As you may have read from the previous post, the chickens miraculously have stopped {at least temporarily} eating eggs. We're hoping it's a permanent change but we'll see. Almost all of them have their feathers back and have resumed laying eggs.
I cooked a ham in the crock pot tonight. Have any of you tried this? It actually turned out very moist. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't use my crock pot as often as I should so I'm trying to remember to do so. Tonight I've got a batch of applesauce cooking that will be ready for breakfast.
The weekend flew by and I've still got more to do before bedtime. I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!

Poor Emerson, he does seem to have his share of vet visits...glad to hear your hen has stopped breaking the eggs!
Vet visits indeed! :) We are happy that the eggs are saved for our consumption rather than theirs too. Hopefully it lasts......
Poor Emerson. I hope he's feeling better soon. I'm in awe. All your decorating and shopping done? You're my hero.
