3 Little Things I'm Grateful For Today:
1. Rain - this has been largely a wet summer for us and we are so lucky for that. Yes, it can promote mildew and fungus in plants and yes it makes for watery tasting fruits and veggies at harvest but when you look at the opposite, the drought that has crippled parts of the U.S. this summer, it's easy to find much gratitude for it. Our wells and lakes are full, the wildlife is hydrated, and the crops are watered.
2. Taste - the ability to taste is something so easily taken for granted. I'm one who never really thought about it much until the pandemic. We've met/know a handful of people who had Covid and still don't have their ability to taste back. Those freshly picked tomatoes, handmade pesto, warm blueberry pie, an ice cold maple-dandelion coffee - I cannot imagine the inability to taste all of this goodness.
3. Stillness - the ability to take the time and just be.
