Tuesday's Three (the fall edition)

Because I absolutely LOVE fall, today's gratitude list will feature 3 things I'm grateful for about the arrival of sweater season:

1. Fall Scents - the spices associated with fall are my all-time favorite.  Bring on the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg along with all things apple and pumpkin.  I also adore the scent of freshly brewed hot coffee on a chilly morning, woodsmoke from chimneys and outdoor fire pits, the fragrance of pine trees that surround us, and wool sweaters.

2. Fall Sights - the changing of the leaves, mums on the porch, apples and pears ready for picking, pumpkins, birds flying south, fields turning from green to glorious shades of brown, squirrels stockpiling for winter, football (my favorite sport to watch), deer in the fields, and a chicken coop full of feathers.

3. The Taste Of Fall - everything pumpkin and apple (obviously), squash, soups, stews, breads, and all of the comfort foods.

What three little things top your gratitude list today?

  1. One season that I wish we had where we live is Autumn/fall - well we have it but we don't have lots of trees near where we live that change colour. Have a good week.

  2. Cooler temperatures.
    Clean water.
Being able to move my body.

  3. I'm thankful to have spent the day with my husband, doing things we enjoy.
To live in a state with such beauty and history.
To have the prosperity to have an occasional adventure.
