Small containers can be found at most craft stores, or if you have something such as the small, squatty baby food containers, that would work too.
Lip Sugar Scrubs are easy - here's the formulation:
Lavender Lip Sugar Scrub
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons coconut oil, melted
2 1/2 - 3 1/2 Tablespoons grapeseed, sweet almond or olive oil
2 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Stir all ingredients together. Mixture should be very wet but oil should almost completely be absorbed. If mixture seems to wet, add more granulated sugar, a teaspoon at a time. If it's too dry, add a bit more grapeseed oil, 1/2 teaspoon at a time.
Transfer to containers. Use within 2-3 months.
Directions to use: Put a small amount on your finger and rub gently over your lips. Blot off with a paper towel. Follow up with a moisturizing lip balm for even smoother lips.
Enjoy!
Lovely! I had't thought of a sugar scrub for lips before although I make one for my face. I brand I use is raw cane sugar with bigger grains, and I can see the wisdom in specifying granulated for a sensitive area like lips.
